Brief Background

Several years ago, a group of Reformed churches in Myanmar (Burma) contacted the Confederation of Reformed Evangelical Churches in order to try and setup some formal relationship with us. As part of the CREC’s research into these churches, it sent two delegates (RC Sproul, Jr and Doug Jones) to meet and interact with the leadership of these churches in February 2008. The key contact for these churches, was Naing Thang, pastor of the Yangon congregation and chief moderator of their two presbyteries.

This site aims to provide information and photographs of the CREC delegates’ trip to Myanmar, as well as continuing contact with the churches of Myanmar after that first trip. This site also aims to provide information for CREC delegates to the upcoming General Council meeting in the fall of 2008.
